Oracle User Group Event OBUG Connect

This year was the fifth time in a row the Oracle Benelux User Group (OBUG) has organized OBUG Benelux Connect. It was held on 24. April at the MECC in Maastricht. We were there as one of the sponsors and Michel Schoolenaar, Centre’s Sustainability Expert, has presented ‘Sustainability Reporting at Telenor with HFM, a customer case’.

Telenor Group`s Sustainability Reporting has evolved from Excel spreadsheets to a foundation for integration of financial and non-financial reporting and sets the foundation of Oracle’s HFM starter kit for Sustainability reporting, which is certified by the Global Reporting Initiative. It received the Fusion Middleware Innovation award for EPM & BI and the Eco-Enterprise Innovation award at OpenWorld 2011. The solution collects, validates and consolidates the required sustainability reporting dataset. Allowing harmonization and standardization of the current sustainability reporting processes in large organizations, by replacing MS Excel worksheets with a certified application. The application supports the sustainability reporting processes and improves the quality and speed of reporting.
